Good ole home cooking in Park Slope? Yes baby! which this is hard to find in Brooklyn as a tourist. This place looks like an old western bar inside but has Mexican food and standard diner breakfast. Basically it's a diner.
Staff is super friendly with great service and fast delivery on the food. They have like fifty eleven (Southern vernacular for a lot) omelets. Menu is crazy large with everything including Mexican Breakfast and brunch items.I usually have to customize my order but not here. They have a bar in front of the restaurant so I'm sure they have their regulars in the evening.
If your looking for a grain bowl keep a stepping but if your in the mood for a hearty breakfast step on in. -

I wish Grand Canyon Restaurant was in my neighborhood. I would be a regular. This was just the type of restaurant that I like.
We stopped in for Sunday breakfast. Very cute restaurant. Open windows in the front that make the restaurant very welcoming. The restaurant is small but it does not feel cramped like a Manhattan restaurant.
We were greeted right away and had a server over to offer us our beverages. The menu is HUGE. So many options. I ordered the Island Omelette and the BF got the usual corned beef hash and eggs. Both of our breakfasts came out quickly and were steaming hot. The potatoes on the side were so delicious--homemade, not frozen. Everything was well-seasoned. The portions were huge and neither of us finished our plates.
You could tell the restaurant had a lot of regulars in it. The servers and the guests knew each other by name. Definitely a nice, family-friendly restaurant with delicious food. -

I was so sad when Grand Canyon closed a little while back, it was such a great burger spot with an old charm to it. It reopened from what i hear by one of the staff members. Now totally resigned with a Mexican flair it didn't lose its charm or quality of their burgers. The menu is expanded as well from what it seems, but I can't be sure since burgers were always my go to there.
The staff is friendly and fast, and you don't have to wait forever to get your food which is great if you're there during the lunchtime rush. But don't think that makes them skimp on your food because it does not.
There's a few burgers I have yet to try on their menu and am looking forward to going back. So happy they reopened. -

This place is good for lunch, a little pricey for breakfast. Staff is very friendly.

Grand Canyon is a great neighborhood place. I eat brunch here and my wife and I get breakfast delivered often. The Heuvos Rancheros is fantastic. Also the Chillaquelles verdes with eggs is delicious. Our favorite take out/delivery option is the Grand Canyon breakfast sandwich with advocado and chipotle mayo. We put cheddar cheese on instead, a real winner!
What makes this place stand out is the friendly service and the welcoming owner Cesar, who genuinely cares about what he serves and how every customer that walks in the door is treated. That is sp
